Any football coaching software?

I'm involved running a junior footie team and want to build up a record of all the drills, training ideas etc we did last year for the other coaches to use for reference next season.Over the next month i want to try and put them all down (before i forget them!). We do use some of the FA coaching books but we've modified some of them.

Does anyone know if there is any software (or even better, freeware) around with templates which I can use to draw and show the positions of players etc for each drill.

I realise i could draw out grids and put x's and 0's using microsoft Word, but i wondered if there is anything out there already that anyone has seen?

I used a very similar (forerunner) program to this, which costs about £50. Here's the video demo of it:

I don't know if there's any freeware out there. When I first started I used Visio which was much easier than putting x and o on Word, but I have changed PC about 10 times since I did my Coaching courses so I wouldn't have a clue where that is - I do remember locking myself away for a weekend and putting them all down from my "play-book"

I hope this helps

No idea, you could just draw it on a white board and take photos of it? Put it into a slide show with captions and stuff.

I use a program called tact foot pro..

check it out

I used grassroots for a while. I also use <a class="postlink" href="http://www.footy4kids.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.footy4kids.co.uk</a> that has some good drills and downloads.

Try this:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.falearningshop.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.falearningshop.com/</a>

Sells all kinds of stuff and all approved by the FA.

You'll also find the FA has loads of these:

The Ontario Soccer Association here in Canda is affiliated with the Everton Way program run by the Everton Academy (http://academy.evertonfc.com/) and they endorse a tool called Session Planner 2.0 which is available from:

The OSA have created an entire library which is available via the website.

The OSA is apparently North America's largest soccer association with 450,000 members so Everton are apparently looking to tap new recruits. There is a 12 year old boy in my city, Ottawa, who has been signed to a developmental deal with them. His name is Kristopher Twardek.

You can see some youtube clips of him and his brother here:

Back on topic, here are some websites with good drills:

Guys, many thanks for all these suggestions - i knew there'd be plenty of blue coaches out there - great stuff.

I'll have to wait till this weekend to get time to have a look at all these things, but once again thanks v much.
