Their film the music box (about the piano being delivered up steps)won an oscar for best short comedy film ..always loved them and although made in the twenties and thirties they sort of remain timeless and don't look dated when watching them,I always loved the murder case along with fixer uppers and live ghost.As mentioned a few times whoever doesn't find these two funny surely has no humour at all..

Busy Bodies. Never bettered. If I ever need a pick-me-up, this is my first port of call. Stan shaving the paint brush off Ollie’s chin using a razor-sharp plane. Fanfuckingtastic.

My favourite is Helpmates. Ollie wakes up with a hangover and finds the house in a mess after a party. He decides to phone a friend to help him tidy up. Unfortunately, Stan is the friend he phones up. It doesn't end well. Brilliant.

Love the one where they are cleaning the chimney and Ollie gets blasted with the shotgun then pulled through the stack into the fireplace, then the bricks start dropping on his head, one by one, he then tries to get up to batter Stan and the rest of the stack flattens him ... Ha ha fickin love em...!

I love when they fight they usually take it in turn to inflict pain/humiliation on each other. The one receiving the pain/humiliation just stands there and lets them do it.

As an aside, my wife's grandfather lived in Urswick & went to the same school as Stan in Ulverstone
