Any news on Micah Richards' return?

Just to clarify, he was having entonox not oxygen when being treated, ACL or LCL injuries usually have pain inititially then nothing, entonox is a pain reliever so fingers crossed its neither of those as he was continually using it. I don't know much about patella tendon injuries so if anyone does plz inform!!

Patellars are not as serious but a fully torn patellar which usually has you wincing in pain for sometime as opposed to ACL and PCL 's as you say.

In saying that a fully torn patellar means we lose Micah for the remainder of the season but he should be right for the start of next season.

Surgery to repair is a must.

A partial tear where the two adjoining tendons are not separated can mean no surgery but at least 3 months on the sidelines.

He should really have gone off when he first felt it as he was clearly not up with the pace after that.

Hope it's not too serious

That's a worry because a small tear of the patellar is painful but it doesn't stop you from running and jumping but if you ignore it you can fully tear / rupture it just through further running even in a straight line, changing body momentum etc and it appears that exactly what happened.

Shame for Micah, he's too injury prone to ever make it as a top player. Everytime he takes to the pitch I'm expecting a stretcher to come on.

im gutted for him but everyone around me at the game was saying take him off, hes not right, so if we can all see it why didnt the staff ?
