My son got married there last year it was fantastic
But it gets very hot in the summer the travel rep over there said it hits 40 thats way to hot for me

got to be Turkey - been all over the world and went to Turkey 6 years ago and never looked back - even my brother who swears by America went and said it was fantastic - fantastic place, fantastic food and fantastic people - and outside euro so extremely cheap.

Note we book privately and so avoid the main tourist traps but by doing so have really seen some fantastic places and had some of the best holidays you could imagine. happy to pass some tips over if anyone is interested

I was going to suggest Beirut, and not as a joke haha. We go every year but for family rather than tourism. But if you do go for tourism there are some amazing places to go, some beautiful sights and the beaches and sea are fantastic. Downtown Beirut is a buzz every night, a place for everyone. Don't believe everything Rupert Murdoch tells you. We've never seen any trouble within the country. And as unusual as it sounds, the country is very safe! The crime rate is probably one of the lowest in the world, and everybody is very welcoming. A must for everybody (at least once)
