Anybody recommend a telescope that won’t cost a planet?

Mines a 4SE mate,gonna upgrade to the 8SE though...keep the 4SE for my grandson.
4SE is very easy to use....think the software came with 80k space objects, but you can get an upgrade with more.

Haha,i put 40k objects in the post above.
Thanks I read some reviews and it received very positive reviews for viewing moon and Planet and stars in our solar system. It did also say though that many of the 40,000 objects aren’t really visible. Not that I would need to view that many anyway. Seems like it doesn’t require much maintenance and the fact it can zoom you into objects with minimal expertise required is ideal for me as a beginner. looks good bang for buck and an excellent introduction telescope.

For anyone interested.
Tonight at about 12:30am,comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) will be passing earth.
Should be visible if you look in the direction of Droylesden/Ashton.
Should also be able to see it with the naked eye....it will be bright green.
Nobody on earth has seen this comet for about 45,000 years.
Unfortunately, it’s a bit cloudy tonight in Manchester

I’m looking to get one and know very little about anything, and even less about good, reasonably priced telescopes. Any advice, apart from BMR’s, obviously, will be gratefully received.
Attend a "star party" - local astronomy clubs host night viewing gatherings. Attend one - and ask around. Moreover you'll be able to actually look at the heavens through various telescopes - for sake of comparison.

One slight point. That depends where you are :) Center of Manchester vs Oldham are totally different directions.

I assume your meaning "Look east and a bit north"?
