Anyone claiming PIP?

I know. They commented in my rejection letter that I walked to the interview room from reception unaided. Obviously a leg brace and crutch don’t count! It’s almost as if they want you exaggerate everything.
Grounds for appeal right there!

And yes, unpleasant as it feels, you do have to exaggerate everything. Not lie. Just describe it as it is on your worst days. The guide I referenced is great for advising on wording.

I may have to apply for PIP once i get back to blighty, currently stuck in Goa following back surgery, so far I can only walk 20yds but its early days, I've got dropfoot and my left leg feels like it was only attached yesterday, shin feels like it's been in a fire.
All might improve in time but I'm not confident at all. Having to wear a corset type brace which helps, without I'm all over the shop.
I think I should be a good candidate for PIP, but we'll see, have to get home first.
