I actually am,strange,bizare,stupid.....I know but the money.mercenaries, cheating .egos, it really does leave a bad taste in my mouth.
I feel like I am endorsing that type of behavior/greed when I hand over my cash.
you have got to be fuckin kiddin right?..........now 10 goals at home all season under pearce and i might have been agreeing with you, what dire fuckin season that was.
That was the closest i came to giving it up after 30yrs, garbage that season.I still beleive there are fans who have not been back since.

I read somewhere that there was a group of 10 sat together as Seasoncard Holders in that final Pearce season and none of them were going to renew because they didn't feel they'd be sufficiently entertained.

Seasoncards only began to be snapped up again following the Thaksin Shinawatra takeover. I remember City extending renewal dates and prices.

I seem to recall Frannie Lee threatening to walk out on Bolton if they didn't sell him to City. The wage figures may be a lot heftier now but the top footballers have always had big egos so if he's not happy with that I'm surprised the OP ever started following football.

After so much sheer bloody-mindedness sticking with City through thin and thinner I can't understand anyone wanting to give it up just as things are looking bright. As has been said by a few others anyone who survived the tedium of the Pearce era can take anything!

Garbage? yes, for sure.

Survival? abso-fukin-lutely.

Without THAT survival, we would not be in the position we are in now, for sure. So for all you stay aways from THAT season, don't bother coming back, am sure we'll be fine without you, it'll give someone a chance that wants to support us.

Thankyou Mr. Pearce, i will be forever grateful to you for being THAT man that kept us going and enabling us to become a major force in World Football, thankyou.

This is my second season without a season ticket and financial issues play a large part in why I can't afford one. I do have a City card though so have all my points transferred to that from previous seasons and get to the games when I can afford it. A shit wage and mortgage and a kid doesn't help. Going to a game is a luxury. I feel for fellow blues in a similar boat but if you're thinking of not renewing because you can't be arsed or have doubts about modern football then think before you do give it up because i can almost certainly guarantee you WILL regret it.

this cant be serious?

I bet it is.

Footballers earn too much and it's gone to their heads. I used to follow England with a passion but the display in South Africa has put me off. I turned down tickets for the last 2 matches at Wembley.

Bizarrely, having struggled to raise kids on my own, pay the mortgage etc and at times having to share season tickets, now all that is behind me, I'm actually thinking of trading up to one of those heated seats and a bit of luxury. Sign of old age I guess, but no way am I going to miss rubbing those rag noses in it.

Had a season ticket for 22 years, been through all the lows and now live in dubai but cant bear to part with it in the hope that we finally do something!!

Managed to use it for only two games this season so far -- 3500 miles each way to see us have two 0-0 draws, not impressed but no way would i ever give it up !!!!
