Fairly obvious question I know but it's one of the poorest Liverpool sides for several years, they have lost double the games we have & some of their players haven't looked interested in recent weeks.

Yet as I type this they are 1 up & will leap frog us if they win.
I know we have 2 games in hand & assuming (big word in forecasting City) we win both the gap will be 5 points.

But being brutally honest have we not spurned opportunities throughout this season to make us not even bother about what Liverpool do?. It irritates me that they are still in the mix.
I know the league table doesn't lie & if they finish above us then it's becuase they would have earned more points than us.

I just think it would be a travesty & a major dissapointment in my book if that is what happens.

i am its really anoyying as they have lost 10 games!!

its all them bluddy draws what have cost us if we would have won some of them we'd be flying in 3rd/4th right now

oh well.

We've missed a lot of opportunities to be out of sight of them, and make them a non factor in the top 4 race.

So a bit disappointed yeah, but all is not lost.

i'm not concerned with liverpool 'while' we are in a position to overtake them with games in hand spurs with one game in hand and the home fixture so i'm not worried with that one,now if we draw tomorrow it could be over infact if we fail to get 3 points on monday i would be suprised if we finished 5th

we should have taken advantage of them when they came to Eastlands.....we didnt and now we are paying the price

I would rather anyone get 4th than liverpool

They were a match for us at COMS, could just as easily have beaten us as we could have beaten them. The Anfield match was one where there would only have been one winner if we went for it.

agree about he anfield match but disagree about the COMS match...they were there for the taking and we werent positive enough (not for the first or last time either)

That's nonsense. They were there for the taking at CoMS but we were too cautious and negative.

As for whether we should be annoyed that we are not out of sight of the Dippers, too bloody right as far as I'm concerned. If people had been doing their jobs, this would not be happening.

You might disagree, but it's not nonsense.

They played as well as us on the day IMO, we may have won with a bit more going forward, they might have won as well.

maybe but utd and chelski never seem to worry about the oppostion...they just go out and attack......Mancini wories bout stopping the other team too much and not on winning the game

We are going to fucking blow it now. You watch.

They were there for the taking at COMS and were chuffed as fuck with a draw. We had more to give that day but they didn't

Been saying months that liverpool are still a threat. If they win their next match against birmingham and we don't go on a very good run til the end of the season I think they'll get 4th

It's all relative. The media are going on about what a great season Villa and Spurs have had and how badly us and Liverpool have played yet we're all on a similar amount of points. Th draws have cost us but Liverpool can point to all there defeats. Villa and Spurs have lost at home to Wolves, Wigan etc. The three teams who don't get fouth will be kicking themselves, they probably shouldn't.
