tbh i felt a little smug as he is our player.
Carlos Tevez played 29 times in one season for West Ham and scored 7 goals, helping them to stay in the Premier League. Shaun Goater played 212 times for Manchester City and scored 103 goals, helping us to three promotions and our first home derby win in over a decade. The two situations aren't really comparable.Kinky Dribbler said:If someone like Goater came back to City playing for another club they may have done the same thing and we would have loved it.

I'm not having a pop at Tevez, I just find the whole thing a bit weird and OTT (from both sides) if I'm being completely honest. Each to their own though; it certainly doesn't offend me.

I just thought that yesterday was a little OTT as the cheer for Carlos was bigger than when they scored. In fact the whole of the game was played at such (or lack of) pace that it felt like a Carlos Tevez testimonial. If we and WHU had anthing more than 3 points to play for it would have been different i think
