He certainly did!Nothing stuffy about him at all.He did like to enjoy altered states etc but he was a fair bit younger then!Loves his football too but man,can he fucking play!…and play,..and play.A wonderful night was had by all.View attachment 72013

Many years ago, while they were filming the film 'Yanks' a mate and I had a pint in a pub with Richard Gere. Though at the time I hadn't a fucking clue who he was. He was in costume at the time - American Army uniform. Seemed a nice chap.

Played football with Rodney Marsh and Peter Barnes in 1986.
I was at Oldham Athletic at the time in the school of exellence and we trained on a Monday night. We was warming up and out comes these two in full training kit and bibs. Rodney Marsh was full on knocking us all off the ball without a care in the world and Peter Barnes was more considerate lets say.
Joe Royle, Oldham manager at the time, came over to have a chat with them both after the training finished.
To this day i still don't know why they trained with us, i'm sure Peter Barnes was still playing but Rodney Marsh maybe not.

He was a really nice fella who loved animals, especially cats
He told me that once he was booked to open a disability shop and when there, found out that the animal shelter he was a patron of had burned down and it had him in a terrible mood as he would rather have been there helping
