Anyone play guitar?

I play a little, just taught myself and can play a couple of basic oasis songs n that.

Question is any tips for singing and playing at the same time?

I find it really hard, my strumming pattern just goes tits up...

It just comes with practice mate, when you are fully comfortable with all the chords your fingers just kind of flow without even thinking about it so singing is no problem

1. play 2 chords over and over and sing one line slowly.
2. after a few bars change to a 3rd chord and sing another line, then go back to point 1

do this slowly at first then just get a little faster

its a good way to introduce a middle 8 as well to your songs.

The way i learnt was using a song where the lyrics are the same tune as the riff, such the titanic theme tune. Good riddance by greenday is an fairly easy song to sing while playing as well.

To master Oasis,just walk around like an ape. No need to thank me.

Practise, practise and some more practise.

Focus on playing the song on guitar until you have mastered it and can play it without thinking about it. Once your at that point trying singing - you wont be able to sing and play if you have to think about what you are playing.
