Anyone worried about the potential "Qualifier"

The chances are that we won't have a high enough ranking to be seeded in that round. Arsenal were seeded this season but they've been in the CL every year for fuck knows how long.

looking even further.. does the loser of the said qualifier go into the europa league or is that it !!! nuffin
i thought chumps lge failures droped into uefa/europa after the group stages so i'm not sure we would even go into that

One step at a time. Lets see if we can get 4th spot first and go from there.

Yes we would drop into the Europa League group stages, as Celtic did after losing to Arsenal this season in the final CL qualifier.

we'd be in the best placed section, which at the moment would consist of.

Play-Off Round
Sevilla
Manchester City
Palermo
Bayer Leverkusen
Auxerre

3rd Qualifying Round
Zenit St. Petersburg(confirmed as Russian season over).
Dynamo Kyiv(or Dinamo Kiev for ITV people)
Vaslui(Romania, though they're 5 teams within 2 points of each other in the race for Champions League qualification)
Braga(Portugal)
Ajax
Fenerbahce
Greece have play-offs for the spot which will be between Panathinaikos/Olympiakos, Aris, AEK Athens and PAOK.
FC Basel
Belgium have playoffs between the top 6, the current leaders are Anderlecht and the runners-up are Club Brugge, and they are miles ahead of the rest in the league.
Celtic.

The 10 3rd qualifying round teams would play-off over 2 legs, the 5 winners would face the 5 play-off qualifiers over 2 legs for places in the group stages.

I may add that in every league the top of the tables are extremely tight, so it's really going to be interesting.

The main thing is we can purchase players of that standard inthe summer to improve the squad and we also break up the sky four by stopping Liverpool from getting the champs league money.not worried at all by failing to qualify if we get there.

Celtic.

Looking at those teams I'd guess neither us nor Spuds would be seeded - could be interesting! At least it's better than the UEFA qualifying games we played :)

yeah, we'd be one of the lowest seeds I think, though our UEFA Cup quarter-final last season may help.

Realistically we could end up going away to St. Petersburg, Seville or Kyiv for a qualifier, and that is nasty, certainly a step up from anything we've previously faced.

That's if we get there.
