April 16th is the key day.......Spurs once again

There are no easy games, or guaranteed points. Wolves have done over both us and Chelsea in recent weeks. The league isn't what it was, being a smaller stature club doesn't mean that you rollover and die, anybody can beat anybody

Don't think there are any easy games, alot of the teams Spurs will face will be either aiming for Europe or fighting their way out of relegation. Also they may be attack minded but their defence is woeful, in any case as long as we start winning again and keep it going then it's all in our own hands which is what you would want, if Spurs lose games/drop points its a bonus for us.

Since 1st December we have only played two teams (Bolton and Arsenal) who are higher than 10th in the Prem. We have one game left of our "easiest" run of games of the season. We have dropped 10points out of a possible 30 in that time. On paper the only game I can see Spurs losing is Chelsea away. But as you see from our dropped points it doesn't work like that, unless that was our own fault for dropping 1/3 of the points available to us!

But every single one of our away games is tough (United Chelsea Liverpool Blackburn Everton Bolton) and if we don't go out to win these games or continue to push on from going in the lead instead of sitting on one goal, we might drop more points than Spurs drop over the same period. Even games against Sunderland and Stoke at home will be tough for us, and the big one (the day after my birthday) against Spurs is bigger than last seasons game.

We have seriously got to take care of David Silva because if anything happened to him we'd be fucked. There's nobody to replace him, at all.

We are gonna have to play EXTREMELY well from now to the end of the season for us to get fourth. We are capable. We need Balotelli back asap! We need a good atmosphere (intimidating) at the CoMS (it's too nice and quiet too often). We need to keep the ball better, play quicker, more dangerously, more ruthlessly, take our chances when they come. As I say we can do it, but it's going not going to be easy AT ALL!

We got into the mess that we did last season because we left it until the 'eleventh hour' to stake our claim for a Champions League place , and even then we blew it!

We have 13 games left , Spurs have 14 games , and we are five points ahead of them ...... we need to stake our claim for that European place NOW ..... not in April!

Spurs will keep the pressure on , you can be sure of that ....... but it's up to us to stay one step ahead of them!

They'll lose at Chelsea, Wolves and Sunderland. Almost certainly drop points in other games too.

It's in our hands, lets not worry about them.

April 16th unless you make it through to the FA Cup semi's which are scheduled for that week-end.....

Just to add that loss in August last year to Wigan was the only game we lost at home in 2010...... to go with the 3 home defeats in 2009.... 4 in total the last 52 PL games at WHL since the twitcher arrived....

One other little stat from that home form, no PL side has conceded fewer home goals in the same 52 game period..... 26 goals

Only Manure (3-1 win in September 2009) and Blackburn in a 4-2 loss to Spurs in November have scored more than one goal in a PL game at WHL since Redknapp arrived....

Not bad for a team with a dodgy keeper and a shit defence.... (according to those dinosaurs Hansen and Lawrenson)...... and a poster earlier in the thread called our defence woeful.... 5 clean sheets in the last 7 PL games..... and in the last 8 games at WHL only Martin Skrtel (Liverpool) and Didier Drogba (Chelsea) have managed to score (so 2 goals conceded in 8 at home and we have scored 12 in that time).....

Not exactly woeful..... listen can you hear those footsteps behind you getting louder??
