April 16th is the key day.......Spurs once again

Since 1st December we have only played two teams (Bolton and Arsenal) who are higher than 10th in the Prem. We have one game left of our "easiest" run of games of the season. We have dropped 10points out of a possible 30 in that time. On paper the only game I can see Spurs losing is Chelsea away. But as you see from our dropped points it doesn't work like that, unless that was our own fault for dropping 1/3 of the points available to us!

But every single one of our away games is tough (United Chelsea Liverpool Blackburn Everton Bolton) and if we don't go out to win these games or continue to push on from going in the lead instead of sitting on one goal, we might drop more points than Spurs drop over the same period. Even games against Sunderland and Stoke at home will be tough for us, and the big one (the day after my birthday) against Spurs is bigger than last seasons game.

We have seriously got to take care of David Silva because if anything happened to him we'd be fucked. There's nobody to replace him, at all.

We are gonna have to play EXTREMELY well from now to the end of the season for us to get fourth. We are capable. We need Balotelli back asap! We need a good atmosphere (intimidating) at the CoMS (it's too nice and quiet too often). We need to keep the ball better, play quicker, more dangerously, more ruthlessly, take our chances when they come. As I say we can do it, but it's going not going to be easy AT ALL!

top post mate, not going to be easy atall, i personally think we will finish 4th at the end of the season

Very worrying how easy spurs' fixtures are from here

Well they've in terms of hard games left they've got Arse, Us, Chelsea, Liverpool

We've got Rags, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs

The run-ins are pretty even in my opinion.

Dont know if anyone else has mentioned this but if City make it to the Semi Final (wont hold my breath though) of the FA Cup, the game against Spurs will have to be arranged and could be on one of our last games. Dont think my heart could stand up to it if its a decider for 4th

We'll be out of site of Tittenham by the time we play em..........

they'll be hanging on to an Europa position............

they have to worry more about Liverpool..............

Spurs really worry me. Bale is also back next week and Modric week after that. I still don't feel we play as a team like they do, but our time will come even if they beat us to 4th this year.

i have to say the way Spurs fluked the winner on saturday only re-inforces my view.............

and dare i say it don;t rule out Liverpool, 4 wins on the bounce..............oh no

They'll lose at Chelsea, Wolves and Sunderland. Almost certainly drop points in other games too.

It's in our hands, lets not worry about them.

It certainly is in our hands and if the players want it they can get it.
And i cant understand those who think spuds run for home is easy!!

wolves
blackpool
City
liverpool & chelsea away are in no terms easy..

I know this is going to sound wrong and I hope that the tin hat I am now wearing is going to protect me from the shit that will come my way. We have an absolutely shit record against Spurs and if it does come down to that one game I for one will have to have a health check beforehand but I can actually see that the team chasing 4th will be Chelsea not Spuds. This is where I will have to wash my hands after typing this, if the scum do the double over chelsea we won't have to worry about spurs and we are very capable of beating chelsea at chelsea. I think it will be arsenal and Rags chasing one and two we will fight it out for 3rd and 4th with spurs Chelsea to miss out. As for Liverpool they have to win all their remaining fixture and can only afford to drop 4 points from now till end of season to get 70 points so I think their revival is too late.

Goes to bathroom to wash hands (after realising scum could do us a favour)

I'm pretty convinced they rolled over against Fulham to get out of the F.A cup. Don't see Spuds finishing above 6th or 5th at best.

unless Spurs start smashing teams then we have effectively a 6 point lead over them because of goal difference, plus a home game against them.

We have 12 games left, they have 13. If we get the 21 we need to get to 70, then they need 26 or 27(depending on the GD) from 39 to go ahead of us, seems possible. But are we going to drop 15 points in the last 12 games, up to you to decide.

If we dropped only say 7/8, so we get 28/29 points, we're looking at 77/78 points, Spurs would then need 33/34/maybe even 35 because of goal difference out of 39 to go ahead of us, that's 2 draws maximum, and no defeats unless they better that, which would be an incredible achievement.
