It’s annoying, as it’s my son’s birthday the weekend of the derby but can’t make any plans for his party until the derby date/time is 100% confirmed. Don’t really understand why either team playing in the CL on the following Tuesday would affect it?
That's the implication -
City v United remains on Saturday 7 April, but will kick-off at the later time of 5.30pm to allow for Sky Sports coverage, though this change is dependent on either side’s involvement in the Champions League the following Tuesday.
Can't see why the derby date is provisional, playing it on Saturday and then playing CL the following Tues either for us or United is no problem?
I took it to mean that if neither team plays on the following Tuesday the derby switches to Sky's preferred "Super Sunday" slot. It’s annoying, as it’s my son’s birthday the weekend of the derby but can’t make any plans for his party until the derby date/time is 100% confirmed. Looking at the route it seems to have morphed into the Trafford Marathon, they already know about this so if it has an impact the 5-30pm Sat. KO should be set in stone not provisional on the following Tuesday.Manchester marathon on the Sunday.
