so i agree it is a myth about players coming from italy, i think some people are built for it, and some arnt has nothing to do with nationality or where they ply their trade

de rossi as i said earlier, and gattuso would thrive in the premiership

and i agree if masch moves they are in trouble

Viera and Bergkamp weren't Italians thou.

Off top of my head, the only Italians that seemed to have any major impact in this country was Ravinelli, Di Matteo and of course Zola. The rest have always seemed to struggle with the pace of the game compared to their national leagues. Im not discounting Italian in this league entirely, I for one was very disappointed that Bianchi wasn't given a proper run in the team in his time with us as I thought he could have been a wonderful striker for us. I think that they seem to need a longer period of time to get up and running in the Premier League, time which is rarely given to players now adays, certainly where the press are concerned
