No refs are/were any good, apart from Pierluigi Collina and Clive Thomas
It just annoys the life out of me when commentators and pundits say "he got the ball first"

Clive Thomas was a Fuc#ing idiot, fancy blowing the whistle when the ball was between the corner flag & going in the goal, like he could time a 90 minute game down to the last millisecond.

Many years ago, I was at a rugby match in Cornwall, and at one point, one of the crowd, a few metres from me, shouted, "Referee, would you like me to take your parents to a registry office?"
