Only did it to help out in my local junior football league, and to be able to ref games for my club, its good little earner for some of the lads if they take their fee, £26 a game, we have one young lad who refs who does 4-5 games over the weekend at age of 15.

We've had a surge in young refs this season, taking on an extra 10 by the looks of it.

My lad who’s 19 started at the earliest age you can 14 and out of 28 that did the course there are 2 that are still reffing.
