Are 12 American owners a serious threat to our game ?

Yip,but we’ll be told and convinced ( try to) that the game needs to expand and evolve, that it will be good for the game in England..
Indeed, indeed.

For some reason, I have Jackson Browne's song 'Lives In The Balance' (1986) running around my head just now:

'They sell us our Presidents the same way/ They sell us our clothes and our cars./ They sell us everything from youth to religion,/ At the same time they sell us our wars./ I want to know who the men in the shadows are,/ I want to hear somebody asking them why,/ They can be counted on to tell us who our enemies are/ But they're never the ones to fight or to die..'

Can't think why..

They were all warned. The minute there is no jeopardy and games abroad my 50 yrs will be done with it.
I've said this repeatedly in recent years. I'll walk away largely because the disconnect that we're increasingly experiencing will have become so vast at this point that football as we knew it will be completely unrecognisable. And make no mistake, in the absence of meaningful independent oversight, it will happen. Even now, as a season ticket holder of over 40 years, I feel that City are my team but no longer my club.

I gave up my season ticket in 2003 after having one since 76.This was due to kick off times and using holidays to go to football.Luckily i have mates who get me tickets when i want to go who are all long time season card holders. From 90 to 2002 i missed 42 games. Now i go about 10 times a season.
At no time has the club ever asked why i have not been going.Once you get out of the habit going its hard to get it back.I love my team with all my heart but not the club.Remember though win or lose support the blues.Which is not something that all the tourists they want will ever do.

This is why I want a govt appointed regulator.
No other reason as they are shit at overseeing everything else.
I just hope that when the yanks start with
a) no relegation
b) salary caps
c) agreement to have x number of games in yankland the regulator steps in.

Fear the worst and don't celebrate a compromise.
How ironic would it be if the raggies were in the Championship when no promotion/relegation rules came in?

We are very very close to the end game, the vinegar stroke, the coup d'etat.
