Are Spurs Overrated

A very good side. Last season they were better than us but I think we may have just passed them this season. I still look at the points difference between us and them cos if we finish above them we are guarenteed CL football next season.
They are good enough to be in the mix and make the race for CL football a 5 horse race.

They'd be very good using the same system that we do rather than 'Arry's glorified kick and rush.

Top quality striker in there and it's as good as most I'm happy enough for them to keep playing the same way though very predictable and wasting most of their talent.

Bale is one of the most overrated players in world football.

No they're going steadily under the radar and still our rivals for 4th. They play quick and incisive football which works well for them. They have quality in every position particularly down the left side. The left back is arguably one of the best in the premiership and with bale and VDV in front of him they will frighten any team going forward. Playing in Europe against the very best can only help raise your standards and I can only see them getting better and better barring injuries. I think its going to be close but hopefully we'll edge 4th.

Spurs are so overrated. They just have too many 'friends' in the media that big them up.

They are an above average team (at best) with a few players that can run fast to woman slap average defenders. Everyone (including europe) will get wise to their only style of play and I can see them dropping more points as the season progresses.

Not sure about Spurs, but their manager is certainly overrated.

Harry Redknapp has never, ever, been anything other than cheque-book manager with only a rudimentary grasp of modern top-level tactics. Sucess for him has always involved spending, usually to the point of a club being in dire financial straits by the time he leaves.

He's a good team-builder and and great at dealing in the transfer market, but that's about it.

I'd love to see him get the England job where, without the luxury of spending tons of someone else's cash he'd be shown up for what he is; tactically naive.

So your saying Portsmouth would've got to that level without buying players. Any manager wouldve done the same given the chequebook. hate to say it but Redknapp is a very good manager who knows a bargain and has a plan for his team. I would say he's very tactically aware. I havent seen the stats but I bet his record against the top 4 isn't that bad.

No I don't think Spurs are overrated. They have turned in some great performances this season, Inter springs to mind.

The reason the media love them is they play an exiting expansive game with 2 pacey wingers and it's great entertainment. They also know that Arry is good for a quote. He's a news editors dream and a press officers nightmare.

I personally think they are too predictable. Mark Crouch out of the game, the chances dry up and they run out of ideas.

Lucky for them they have Van Der Vaart, he gives them something different.

Spuds are a good team but they are nowhere near as good as they and their media friends think they are.

I don't think they're overrated. Who overrates them? They get credit when they play well, and they play with a high pace and tempo often which is entertaining; but they also get slated, like anyone else, when they don't play well - poor defence and keeper and injury prone centre backs causing them to lose is often something that is said about them!

I reckon they're in the mix of the five teams who are better than everyone else in this league, they won't win the league but have put a better fight up against United today than we did when we played them at home even though both scores were 0-0. They also murdered us 0-0 at WHL.

They have nothing through the middle. Without Bale and Lennon, they are nothing. We on the other hand can either play through the middle or via the wings.
