Bit of both IMO, can anyone explain to me what the players were doing for Spurs second goal? How the hell can you leave 2v2 on the edge of your own box and let a 70 yard crossfield ball be headed down by Crouch for Defoe to latch onto and score, where was the midfielder infront of Crouch? where were the two fullbacks covering the centre halves? surely that is down to the players on the pitch, there is enough knowhow on there for christs sake. As for MH he needs to get them playing to a pattern because at the moment it just seems to be off the cuff. Back to basics and go from there.

I feel so sorry for all the supporters who trecked down to witness that shambles. That wasnt a team out there but 10 men who didnt have a clue. Wrong players , wrong formation and why Micah richards takes throwins is beyond me. This was a must win game for us and although spurs weren't great they were better than us. Nobody put in a performance tonight, we ran round in circles with the ball and when we were near their goal we played it back to ours. yes we should have got a penalty but lets hope we dont hinge our loss on that. The buck stops at the top......if you cant motivate the players you shouldn't be in charge. Hughes may be good at his job but he is not good enough for our job and that is to win matches aND EVEN WHEN WE DONT WIN LETS AT LEAST TURN UP.

Another £500m should guarantee that we will find players who will capitalise on the manager's sterling work and not see him let down.
