Are United Really 17 Points Better Than Us ATM?

I know we've played 1 game less and the table doesn't lie, but I'm not having that. By the end of the season they could be 20+ points better off than us.

With all the will in the world, are we really that far off the PL title race as a team, compared to them?

Hmmm.

PS. Considering our last x amount of meetings with theM have all been decided by 1 goal, with 1 0-0 draw

Apparently.....................

Ive got £50 with my red bastard mate with City with a 10 point start.Looked Nailed on early in season, looking very grim now !

They have the winning mentality that we are beginning to find. Take their game against Everton if that had been us it would have been a draw. They consistently make draws into wins which if we had done that in the home games against Blackburn, Birmingham and Fulham we would be a lot closer.

It's fear, plain and simple.

Over the course of the last 19 years, they've accumulated an awful lot of fear.
The reason they can throw 8 or 9 men forward in the last minute without ever conceding on the break is because teams are terrified of them, they know what they can do.

Our time will come, but gaining that first trophy will be huge.
Gaining our first Premier League title will be even bigger, only then will teams start to properly fear us.

The thing with utd, as much as I do not like to admit it, they are a machine, they turn defeats into draws and draws into wins, so the answer is yes they are 17 points better than us
Over the next few years, the machine will start to splutter and misfire. The media will continue to perpetuate the myth until all hope has gone and they eventually accept their demise to mediocrity. We're seeing it at the moment with Tiger Woods. He's no longer the best, but he's the first person the media mention at the start of each tournament. It will be our turn soon enough. It'll just be a case of "the king is dead.Long live the king."
Obviously the old govan piss-stain retiring would accelerate things a bit,but even with him there,I can see them being found out a lot more next season.Next years title will be a 3 way fight between us,chelsea and liverpool.

Likewise perpetuating the myth about Scholes prowess & his so called brilliance comparing or putting him on par to the likes of Zidane forgetting the fact that he is behind Gerrard & Lampard in the pecking order on the national team. If he is that great of a player England would have won some major trophies by now. Maradona did, Zidane did! Has the bar being lowered for genius or great players?

What kind of player would he be if he was on a Stoke's team deprived of the license to 'be a dirty player'?

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/john-cross/John-Cross-on-Paul-Scholes-Why-dirty-Manchester-United-star-should-quit-now-before-he-tarnishes-his-genuinely-brilliant-footballing-legacy-for-good-article725832.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion ... 25832.html</a>

His license to be a dirty player IMO has turned some draws into wins for the scums.
Just imagine him scything the opponent down & breaking up the attack or goal scoring opportunities at the top of their box & getting away with it with his "Licence to Tackle" . Or as an useful tool for disrupting the flow or rhythm of say teams like Gunners from mounting any offensive forays.

How many points are they worth in the PL season for the scums?

Yes Scholes thuggery on Zabaleta has finally woke up the FA and the media. Similary Rooney's & Fergie's suspensons for their 'arrogance'.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1375273/Patrick-Collins-Arrogance-isnt-confined-pitch-Sir-Alex.html#ixzz1KR2foFcQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... z1KR2foFcQ</a>

So with Scholes or scums of the same ilk ability to deploy their rotating fouls strategy & ability to get marginal decisions in their favour should it be a surprise then?

we need to take into account the transition we have had over the past few seasons with players and managers were the scum haven't had that, our squad is one of the best in the league and will only get better next season if mancini gets us into the champs league and we win the fa cup the main aim for next season will be the title i have no doubts!

Leagues not over if the rags win all their remaining games they will get 85 points. If we will all our remaining games we will have 74 points. The difference between the two clubs is therefore 11 points. If we had beaten them at Eastlands instead of that bore draw it would be 7 points, if Shrek hadn't scored that fluke wonder goal it would have been 4 points.

Last season we were 18 points behind them at the final count. This season potentially that could come down to 11. For me that is improvement year on year next season depending on how we play against them that could be far less. It will be interesting to see how we strengthen our squad over the summer compared to that shower of shite.
