Are we going to win the league?

Nice runner's up medal for David Villa if he comes. If not third for us this time.

Chelsea can overtake us but we cant overtake united?

Not with Mancini in charge.

We have by far and away the best squad in the league so we're not going to implode, whoever the manager might be, so I expect us to push United all the way. But with United being as lucky as they have been this year, it looks like we''ll have to be close to our best to win the league unless they completely capitulate. And unfortunately, we have a manager who doesn't know anything close to what it takes to get the best from our team.

It seems to me he's still got beef with a lot of people at the club as well. The people above him tell him we don't need any more signings - this is not football manager, but the luckiest manager in the world moans some more and gets tens of millions to spend in the transfer window, and we go three steps backwards. He says Balotelli will be world class, turns out the guy was one of the worst players, in talent and in attitude, to wear the shirt - 'who would have saw that coming?'. He says Tevez won't play again, the people above him say don't be silly - we win the league. As a result, Mancini keeps bringing him off for defensive players when we need goals, at the expense of the success of the club, to prove a point. The only point he's proving though is that he's an incompetent manager governed by emotion rather than what's best for City.

I think to win the league, we need to sack the manager, stop playing Yaya out of position when he comes back, and play Kolarov when we're going to spend 60% of the play on the ball, and have no need for Clichy's superior defensive abilities. Kolarov's one of the best crossers of the ball in the world, and last night, we must have wasted about 20 opportunities to trouble QPR by playing Clichy who, make no mistake, has been a great signing for us, but he is nowhere near as good as Kolarov as an attacking threat.

When you've got Yaya as an attacking midfielder, he'll be one of the targets in the box for Kolarov to hit. Look how many goals United score from crosses.

Looking at the remaining games, both run-ins are pretty similar in terms of the number of points you would expect both teams to pick up

So if we can win at Old Trafford, we've still got a good chance. If not, it's theirs unfortunately

This is something we're going to have to get used to. We're going to be challenging every season, but even the best team can't win it every season (look at Barca last year)

it'd take an almighty cock up from them for us to win the league, similar to last season, and I don't think baconface would allow it to happen twice in two seasons but we can hope. Lets be honest about it we haven't played well enough to be champions this season whereas last season we WERE the best team in the league.

You make some forceful arguments, all underpinned by one particular premise; that we need to get rid of Mancini. This, my friend, is the downfall of your argument. Mancini has given us stability, success, belief, pride and status. I know where I'll pin my hopes for the future, and it won't be in another manager.

sadly no from me..... you cannot expect to win titles with so many misfiring forwards in the squad and i dont expect a new signing to make an immediate impact if we do get someone in :(
