Are we going to win the league?

Controversial opinion coming now....but I think the best thing that could happen to us is for them to win it this year.

We've seen how United have reacted to the hurt from last year, and I think we need to feel that hurt to make sure it doesn't happen again.

It will be gutting for a few months, but will benefit us in the long run I think.

You learn far more in defeat than you do in victory.

I'm still optimistic that we'll run them close for the league. The way they've played this season they certainly don't deserve to win it by 9 points, and there's got to be a few games when they have a little dip (perhaps starting against Everton this weekend?).

I'm so sick of hearing Mourinho mentioned on here every time we don't pick up all 3 points. We have a great manager and I for one take great satisfaction in having a bit of stability at the club.

Correct. For all the wealth of talent at Madrid, he isn't doing any better that Mancini is here.

We need to win every game - that has to be the target now - one game at a time. The Ivorians should be back for next week
Having said that we have gone backwards as a team - that is unacceptable frankly considering the possition we were in. We had our foot on the throats of our rivals and we allowed them back in
The whole 'foot on their throats' argument conspicuously ignores the cyclical nature of football, as if winning the league this season was going to have a significant bearing on united's future status within the game. If we can transform ourselves as a club from 11th to Champions in four seasons then I'm pretty certain united finishing second this season wouldn't have seen them sailing off into the sunset anytime soon.

This season has been a disappointment, but hardly a disaster. We are here to stay - the fact that we are all so disappointed about (in all probability) finishing second is concrete evidence of that.

Exactly. La Liga has a lesser ratio of top teams and yet Madrid has faltered below Atletico, who is now in 2nd.
