By the way, new "CEO" rumors/news anyone?

David Potts from Tesco is stepping down in June to 'fulfill a lifelong ambition'

Interesting
As a Manchester City fan, it is understood that one of Mr Potts' possible options is a role running the club.
Buy one get one free cup tickets perhaps?

Buy 3 rounds of Cup ticket and get a £50 spend in tesco.

Not sure why anyone is embarrassed about the attendance.

Thought it was pretty good myself, and if a few scousers and rags think it entitles them to take the piss out of the club, then I couldn't give less of a fuck.
I agree 36,00 was not a bad turn out. But the BBC had us over big time if you watch back where they show the lights out bit.

Sounds alot better with the AWAY support added. Circa 7k??

Re: Are we missing Gary Cook?

I think they were excellent attendances considering the opposition.

Re: Are we missing Gary Cook?

People are forgetting that City had to subsidise all the £15 cup scheme tickets for the Scum match, so they will have lost money on that match after they split the money and expenses etc.

Re: Are we missing Gary Cook?

De Rossi bottled it says the ghost of Garry Cook.

Re: Are we missing Gary Cook?

Garry "I increased ticket prices, increased food and drink prices, doubled parking prices all within 12 months of arriving here, sold 'loyalty' points to anyone who wanted to buy loyalty, presided over some dodgy allocation of away tickets to what looked like non fans at the Swamp, shafted people in favour of an idiotic family stand concept and bullied people into these cup schemes as I arbitrarily announced that it guaranteed a Wembley ticket only after we got to Wembley" Cook.

Yeah, he was always doing fans a favour.

Fair enough though, he talked the talk when it came to pretending that his life's mission was to serve City fans.

(I will say that he was in charge for the £25 Champions League decision, which cannot be argued with).

Fuck me, the length of time that this hero worshipping of this bloke goes on, it seems that he bought even more drinks and glad handed even more people than was originally thought.

Do those gullible enough to be taken in by his personal PR crusade honestly think that he sat there all day trying to think of ways to save fans money whilst everyone else, those who are left there now, tried to think of ways to shaft them, only to be thwarted by the valiant and ever vigilant Cook? FFS!

I liked Cook but there is nothing here that he said that is false.

Cook's job was to be nice to the hardcore fans (us), whilst simultaneously screwing us. Even if Uwe Colin Rosler Kinkladze Bell were our CEO, this would still be the remit of their job.

Either way, I don't think that there is a single person who posts regularly on this board who is in a position to judge how good or bad of a job he did.
