Are we really "the best team in the world" right now?

High praise indeed from Ancelotti but are we really the Best Team in the World right now.
Yes I know we`ve been singing about it for decades but are we really.
Based on the number of wins in all competitions is remarkable and I`ve always maintained we have the best in the world .. Pep.
So do we deserve that merit ?

For me, atm we play the best football on the planet. If we win CL being it's undisputable considering the quality of opponents on our side of the draw! No one can say we had a shoe-in to the final.

We may well be (until we don't win anything) - it's subjective. Some people think 25% possession during a game is a measure of playing well (see MOTD last night). There are some like rags and dippers who are bitter but there are some who genuinely would rather watch a different type of football. I loved the way we played on the break a couple of seasons ago and I like this too. You would think that the best team in the world couldn't be beaten but we were a couple of games ago, so being unbeaten isn't a measure. We will find out when we draw the Bungersleague champions.

Love to win it but like all cup games winning them doesn’t make you the best team in the world! Win the premier shows you your the best team in England.

Cup games are lottery you can park the bus be battered for 90mins then in the 93rd minute win by an own goal.

No. We're not even the best team in Europe, and won't be seen as such until we win that damned competition (maybe not even then). But if we do win the CL, we can claim to be the "best" in Europe. And UEFA can lay claim to be the strongest/most competitive/"best" confederation (though South America might disagree).

We could quite easily lose to spurs in the final, to leicester in the fa cup and haaland could do us over in the CL. if we win the quadruple, the is no denying it, but until then...
