Arsenal are no way in the same bracket as Chelsea and United. They are arguably marginally more consistent than us but they aren't any kind of benchmark.

We are not shit, and we didn't look like strangers last night, we played good passing football but the problems were;

a) the end product just didn't seem to be there, the final move was always where we came unstuck
b) this was obviously not helped by Everton having about 10 men in the box all the time

also, if the ref knew what handball was we'd all be dissecting the match in a very different tone right now anyway.

the game doesn't particularly throw up a load of causes for concern or anything. We were only a bit below par really, missed NDJ but even so it wasn't a million miles away from ''well played, but bad result''

No, we're a decent team. Just inconsistent. And judging by last night, a little too cocksure and prone to daydreaming.

I'd say we're 2/3 players off being title challengers, and those players needed are the ones who would be the spine of our team. Dependable CB to play alongside VK. I'd gave said say Chiellini but he;'s been poor this season - ;looked a weak player twice against us. Focal point attacker to spearhead our attacks. Dzeko? And De Jong in midfield completes the spine - the other player would be another midfielder for me. Milner's not cutting it, so when we are depleted in the centre we need someone capable of coming in, and in time, becoming a key player in our midfield. Pastore? Michael Johnson? Mancini, over to you...

Target for next 3 games has to be 7-9 points. Three very different challenges - Newcastle away, Villa at home and Blackpool at home. Capable of winning all three. 'Nuff talk, need to do this business now. Even without additions, we are a decent team, pushing top 4.

We are not shit and havent been for a long time. But we still havent worked out how to play against good organised teams who know how to defend.
Spurs,Scum,Brum,Everton are examples this season ( I won't count Arse or SLand even though we didn't score or Notlob,BBurn,Stoke where we squeezed just 1) and there were plenty late last season.

It's something we must sort out and have a plan B or 4th is going to be very hard to achieve.

4th !!!??? We ought to be going for the title.

We're a long way off doing that! We'll have at least 5 games this season where we'll be shite, Wolves and last night were two, we'll have more! I wouldn't think we'd actually be challenging for the title until next season, if not the season after!

We are definitely not shit. We had a terrible first 15 minutes with Vinnie and Toure looking like they had just been introduced. Kompany has been very consistent but last night he looked very uncomfortable.
Little bit unlucky with the ref being a one eyed twat that seemed to think that Everton were the Harlem Globetrotters.
Time for everybody to get over the disappointment and look forward to what we can achieve, it's a little set back but one we can and must get over quickly.
We are a good team with the potential to be a great team, it will happen.
Keep the faith Blues.

kompany and toure qaulity most of season.. one dodgy game and 'do we need new CB's???' hahaha.
