its because the name of the country you live in is the united kingdom of great britain and northern ireland, not feckin england, dont they teach you owt at school ?

well after browsing the net (not an absolute authority i know) i keep finding that England IS a country albeit in the united kingdom.
why does it have to be lumped in with the rest of Britain (on the usual forms)?
yes you could say i'm thick and that it is obviously part of Britain, but then it's also part of Europe, and you don't see white/British/European as an option, and you could stretch it further to the world, milky way etc......

so what i'm saying is, if a form asks me my country of origin, answering England would be wrong? but answering europe would be wrong also?
how far does being a part of go?
