Zidane?? Fucking hell, that's a properly odd oneI agree with you about Pele and personally, I’d even go with Zinadine Zidane over Ronaldo or Messi, just my opinion.
He is the future, he runs his socks off, doesn’t he. Mind you, the team works hard.Yeah wouldn’t disagree tbf
Julian is the future but the Leo narrative is set
Qatar has done a great job in running the tournament.Booooo.
Most of the ignoramus’s probably don’t even know that he plays for MANCHESTER CITY the Champions of England !!That post-match analysis was a disgrace. 20mins on Messi, 3mins on Modric & 5 seconds on Alvarez & they were desperate not to mention who he plays for for some reason that escapes me.
Probably just enjoying possibly the greatest player ever in his last ever world cup. He’s well past his best but still producing moments of pure genius few could manage in their prime. The 2 assists he’s had in this tournament were amazing plus the ones Martinez fluffed that should have been great assists. 2 cracking goals too. That’s why I put, in my opinion and I certainly don get all the gushing by every commentator over the simple side passes and ball control by Messi in this tournament, it’s nauseating. Yes, in his prime, I get his brilliance but please, it’s been too much at this World Cup.
Ouch! LolOne has carried a young team to the final
The other fell out with everyone and stormed off blubbering at full time, didn’t congratulate the opposition or console his young team mates
One is a man and a sportsman, one is a self absorbed indulged man-baby
Yes, that did cross my mind, I thought I was just being paranoid!. Normally they make such a big thing of such performances if the player plays for an English club don't they! Messi is undoubtedly a fantastic player in the twilight of his career and did show moments of brilliance (as he has done for all his career) Alvarez though , i feel should also have been given a lot more credit for tonight from the er...'experts' (!?).That post-match analysis was a disgrace. 20mins on Messi, 3mins on Modric & 5 seconds on Alvarez & they were desperate not to mention who he plays for for some reason that escapes me.
I'm not, and never will be, into celebrity footballers, but anybody who watched tonight's game, and didn't appreciate the current Messi, then it's hard to understand what they see good about football, he was excellent. That’s why I put, in my opinion and I certainly don get all the gushing by every commentator over the simple side passes and ball control by Messi in this tournament, it’s nauseating.
