That’s a rediculous half of football for a WC final. Something is way off with France and even though they are playing badly, they aren’t even trying which just is unreal. ill or not, they should be able to put more effort in than they are.

You look back at the France goals from 2016, 2018 and Euro 2020 and three quarters of them come from Pogba either crossing from 35 yards out, or playing through balls around half way.

For all his many flaws, the biggest of which is only turning up for France, very few players in the world make those passes which create goals from nothing and France definitely don’t have any.

Without him the midfield doesn’t really do anything.

They really have. Offered next to nothing, not a single shot onnor off target. Midfield being overrun, not winning any second balls, defence always exposed on their right.
