Argentina v Slovenia

Slovenia are unfortunate that their 3 best players are all goalkeepers. Bizarre how they have 3 great keepers, but barely an outfield player of note. Anyone know Argentina's bench?

The only one I can think of is Birsa.

Ah yes, forgotten he was Slovenian.

Argentina players displayed a banner before the kick off protesting about the Falklands Islands. This must have been extremely awkward for the City players, subsequently non started. Noticeably Zabaleta was not even in the squad maybe due to him being an adopted mancunion.

That's right, he is part of the manc union now.

I really think Argentina will go all the way this time. They have so many players who are in their prime, it is all down to whether they can defend when it matters. In 2010 they sort of imploded but it doesn't surprise anyone when your manager was a druggy so I think this time they will learn from their mistakes.

They need Aguero to be on form. I just don't see him having a good World Cup after his preparation

I would have thought FIFA might have something to say about that as they take a dim view of political posturing being brought into a game. Can't understand the fuss really. They gave the islands away a couple of hundred years ago and now theres a possibility of oil they want them back. Go figure.

The Falklands War pre-dates the oil discovery. Rather ridiculous that islands of the coast of South America can be regarded as British

As for politics, the whole thing is a flag-waving contest between nation-states, how can it be anything but.
