Argument in CB level 2 today

I sit in the Family Stand Level 2 and there was a steward on today who had one on him.

In the second half a family (mum, dad and two kids between 2-5) came and sat behind me and my lad and the steward came over and asked to see their tickets as they weren't there in the first half. Whilst the mum was explaining they were sat lower down in the first half but the smaller kid couldn't see I had to ask him if it mattered seeing how the ground was half empty.

Then a bloke sat in front of me shouted something (no swearing as I asked my lad what he had said) when the same steward came over and told him to be quiet because it is the Family Stand!

WTF! I know swearing for the sake of it is out of order and I have to admit I sometimes forget where I am at a game and the odd expletive comes out but this guy was just getting behind his team and was told to sit down

Can anyone tell me why families are not given tickets for the "family stand" we had loads of kids around us in CB1 but the family stand was near empty?

sit where you want at cup games gives the kids a better perpective (sp) of the game instead of stuck in level 2 behind the goals

OK thanks that explains it

I normally sit in the family stand, but got free tickets for Colin Bell level 1 for today, with my two kids. I don't mind any swearing, banter or people just genrally enjoying themselves, but what was more noticeable was the amount of bloody moaning, even when we were 2-0 up !
The bloke behind us must have had a pop at every player at some point during the match, including Mancini.
FFS , get behind the team !!!!

Welcome to the my world I have to put up with the moaning buggers all the time

I'm sure some people go just to have a moan !!!

now thats funny

LoL those Stevenage fans look gassed after doing the Poz.....

on the subject of swearing - there is a time and place for it, and a football match is one of them.

in 111 today there were kids sat infront of us and their parents were swearing more than me, but if they would of taken issue with swearing they should be kindly escorted to the family stand in my view.

Took my lad who's 2 too his 2nd game today ( fuck me there's a lot of 2's in that sentence) and I have to say the language was appalling, but I paid his fiver and he had just as much right to be there as everyone else

I had realised that there would be occasional fans around me today and quite a number of kids so I went prepared as I didn't want to cause offence to them by loud swearing. I had photocopied 250 messages on A4 paper reading, 'Fcuk off you midland twats,' 'Ref you brain dead blind b'stard,' and 'Hughes how many times did you have to take it up the anus in the nick?' and handed them out at appropriate moments.

When I was a kid I loved all the swearing and that its what football is about. The day the game loses it is the day football dies.
