Argument in CB level 2 today

I think we should all just stop going to the football and start attending Polo matches. Then we could all complain about fans that were there before us being overly polite.

Took my lad today (3 years old, so just carry himin and sit on my knee) into 212.It was fine, I covered his ears when I shouted, trying not to swear, don't think I've ever said the word Twit so much?

The shouting and balling seems to pass over him as he really concentrates on the game. He did ask a coupke of times "why is everyone looking over there " (towards away fans) which led to a long winded and little understood explanation about away supporters....

i cant start a topic yet but wanted to know this, my lad is 2 soon and wanna take him along, are they allowed in free at that age, and do the club have any policy on this? thanks
p.s. he doesnt swear that much

I've taken him 5 times this season and just carried him through the turnstile without a ticket and he's sat on my knee.

I phoned the club trying to move my ticket for the Chelsea game to the family stand and in the process buy him a ticket as it was his 3rd birthday. They couldn't move me due to it being a sell out, but they told me to just carry him through and it should be OK.

It's probably a common sense thing with the stewards on a particualr entrance rather than an official policy.

There were a heck of a lot of children around CBL1 yesterday but what made me laugh more than anything was this lad, about 11 or 12 years old who sat and read a book for practically the whole match!! He never moved when we scored and everyone else was jumping up and down, he just sat there and carried on reading!! He was with what looked like a family group of about 5 people.

Did anyone else notice him?

My lads two and I ve been told to buy him tickets? Not a major problem, tickets are pretty cheap for kids and its easier if he has his own seat

I sit in the Family Stand Level 2 and there was a steward on today who had one on him.

In the second half a family (mum, dad and two kids between 2-5) came and sat behind me and my lad and the steward came over and asked to see their tickets as they weren't there in the first half. Whilst the mum was explaining they were sat lower down in the first half but the smaller kid couldn't see I had to ask him if it mattered seeing how the ground was half empty.

Then a bloke sat in front of me shouted something (no swearing as I asked my lad what he had said) when the same steward came over and told him to be quiet because it is the Family Stand!

WTF! I know swearing for the sake of it is out of order and I have to admit I sometimes forget where I am at a game and the odd expletive comes out but this guy was just getting behind his team and was told to sit down

If it was in 237 it was me, minded my mouth for once as well!

My daughter was at the Blackpool game, after the match her Nana asked if she enjoyed it and was there a lot of shoutin an swearin, yes she replied, a man in front of us shouted to the Blackpool fans "YOUVE HAD YER DAY OUT NOW FUK OFF BACK TO BLACKPOOL AND GO AND SHAG A DONKEY" her Nana nearly choked on her false teeth.

If people can't accept and handle swearing at the football then I'm afraid football stadiums are not places for them. There is a big fuck off 6000 Family joke Stand for people who want a quiet, shit, family atmosphere and have loads of empty seast around them, even in the derby. There will be little, if any, swearing going on there so go and fill them fuckin seats. Anywhere else in the ground swearing is perfectly acceptable as far as I'm concerned and everyone should realise that it's going to happen and fuckin get a grip.

This is not a middle-upper class theatre production; this is the fucking football for fuck's sake!

there is no need to buy a ticket at his age.i agree it is easier to have his own seat but the money you save can go on a scarf or badge for the lad.

city get another blue and cash, your lad goes to the game and gets something city related.

He doesnt sit still tho and was on and off his chair all game so if that was on and off my knee Id imagine it would get annoying for people sat round us, but im looking at tickets for the Wigan game so I might bear it in mind
