Incredible video which I watched in Thessaloniki last year and if I remember correctly this was just a pre-season friendly.

No chance they'll ever allow flares in this country though.

Of all the away euro games I have been on I think Aris is up there with the best. Whilst not quite as spectacular as the video link watching it brought a lot of wonderful memories come flooding back.

Yes Alex was a friendly game in the heart of the summer with Boca Juniors.

I have proove you and now i have see previous post thatyou called " Poznan " we do it before 24 year before.

Hi Drooling, another good youtube clip of the Aris fans. I've also seen a clip of the coaches leaving Thessaloniki to go to Athens for that Cup Final. If I remember correctly the Super 3 organised over 100 coaches for that game. Quite a sight watching over 100 coaches in a convoy full of football fans.

Aris and Poznan have to be the best set of fans I've ever come across inside a football ground, They will always stick out in my mind as truly amazing supporters, Massive respect to both.

Dortmund were great as well.

That's just breathtaking. I would love to be part of that. Just wow!

Humans can do some great things; we can build giant skyscrapers, we can invent the Internet, but there is nothing the human race can do that is as specal a spectacle as that. It's just amazing!

Dortmund were very good but they were very regimented and at times slightly boring.

Poznań were spontaneous and did some mad things. They were better.

But Aris were on a different level. They were full of soul and there was a feeling coming off their singing that was special and their block looked like it was dancing. My ears were ringing like I'd been in Sankeys after the Aris game. I was still humming their tunes for weeks afterwards.

We've abominated the tune we sing for Edin Džeko
.
Aris sing with so much more feeling behind it. The "oh woah woah woah" bit they sing has just become a soulless and tuneless "ooaah" by us.

Aris = the best!

First of all thank you all for your kind words for us.

Now Alex if understan right you mean for fans go to that final in athens before 2,5 years ??? Was over 300 bus, 150 min van, 8 aeroplaines and many people with his cars.I am try found the video to show you.

Danburge82 was perfect that night in your stadium even if we loose...The only you dont see from us is how we celebrate a goal...Then you will understand what "spantenous" means or must say madness...
That is the example of that i mean...Our first goal in Madrid in second minute with atletiko madrid we win 2-3..
Is the second minute of that game and is our first "attack" and we score.
Without i will realise i was flew from my hands my new mobile phone cost 500 euros for that...But worth it that moment realy...

Just been to Zante for a week and got talking to 3 Aris fans who were at the Etihad. They said they loved coming to England and were made to feel very welcome.

The greek fans are just mental when it comes to supporting there team.

Yes Drooling, I did mean that Cup Final. l couldn't remember the number of buses etc. 300 buses or more in a convoy is fantastic and I know what a long journey it is from Thessaloniki to Athens. It would be great if you can find the video to show on here.

One fact is that the football culture is very different in our two countries and the English supporters will never be as noisy or as crazy the Greek fans.

When I visited your Supporters Club (Super 3) I was asked some interesting questions. One supporter asked me why we English sit there and just watch the football. The simple answer is because we do and we like to watch the football. 2 questions I didn't like were "which fans are the most violent in the Premier League" and "which fans are the most racist in England." I couldn't understand why 2 Greek fans would want to know those facts.

I'm hoping I can attend an Aris game sometime, it would be a fascinating experience for me and I doubt I would see much of the football being played. I would probably spend most of my time watching the crowd and loving the experience.

I enjoyed my visit to Thessaloniki last summer, the food is good and your loukanikopita (I think that's the English spelling) is the best in Greece, the Rebetika music is top class and I enjoyed a visit to a Rebetika bar. I liked the huge No Smoking sign on the door and liked the way everybody inside just ignored it and smoked as much as they wanted.

Hopefully I will get back to Thessaloniki again in the not too distant future.
