sibierski express said:I think he installs belief into his players like none other. Virtually the same players that were in relegation zone under Ramos are now playing CL football and beating the likes of Inter. Also what he'd done at Pompey before that was nothing short of genious. He even convinced Kanu he can still play at tender age of 55. I'd like that belief in our England squad.
Hugely dishonest viewpoint.
Firstly, Spurs beat literally the weakest Inter team for 30 years under Benitez who was promptly sacked 20 minutes later.
Secondly, the £150m that Ramos spent needed to get its act together and this takes time.
Thirdly, Spurs weren't naturally in the relegation zone, they were naturally challenging for the CL. You are looking at this incorrectly, you take Arry as a genius because he took a club that was challenging for Europe for years and made them challenge for Europe. The blip was Ramos gelling his expensively assembled £150m team (assembled in one year - sound familiar guys?) and failing, before this Martin Jol was doing a fine job.
Harry walked in, inherited a previously successful core from Jol, a few top players from Ramos and brought in half of his Pompey team for another £100m.
This isn't great management and it doesn't make him a genius.
