Arsenal 2017/18

The usual bitter comments from Wenger. He has become a figure of fun and even the Arsenal fans know it now. Wenger claims that Arsenal can't compete with City financially but they only play us twice in the league. Why can't they compete with Swansea, Stoke, Bournemouth, Watford, and Forest who have all beaten them this season?

Not exactly. I live in Kent, admittedly closer than you, but I'd seen enough of our rubbish display, so walked out just before the final whistle.
You definitely had staying power! We were sitting right next to the black dividing fabric in 527, and your fans started leaving in their droves immediately after Kompany's goal on 58 minutes, with a steady stream until the end.
I must admit, I didn't see the trophy being lifted, but I've seen it before - 3 times now in 4 years, 5 in total, going back to 1970, and we needed to get to Hertford to check into our hotel for the night. Seen one, seen 'em all ;-).

I wouldn’t take it personally. If I was an arsenal fan watching that level of effort in a final I would have walked out too. Piss poor team performance didn’t deserve applauding.

I think it’s just the final nail this season and fans have just had enough of Wenger and the board

Yep, I have to agree with this. Although I myself would stay to the end, I can kind of understand why so many pissed off. Plenty of other clubs have it worse, but it's all relative and Arsenal fans are being mugged off in a big way by the people who run the club, rinsing them for the highest season ticket prices in the league while not spending anywhere near as much as they can. Not to mention that Wenger is destroying his legacy, and he's pretty much a busted flush these days. I just can't fathom how he and the board couldn't just agree to a parting of the ways last season instead of signing a new deal. He was at the end of his contract so it wouldn't have even gone down as a sacking, and he could've left with some of his reputation intact.

Their fans get a lot of stick on here but I've met loads of Arsenal fans down the years who are bang on. Was speaking to one on Wembley Way yesterday funnily enough and he was a decent bloke.

Maybe the league cup is just not for us.

8 finals, 2 wins (Liverpool and Sheffield Wednesday) and 6 losses (Leeds, Swindon, Luton, Chelsea, Birmingham, City) and with the exception of Leeds, I've been to them all.

In comparison, we've won 13 FA Cups out of 20 finals.

As for Wenger, he has won 7 out of 8 FA Cup finals.

If we beat Arsenal on Thursday we will be 30 points ahead of them.

Let that sink in.

My ticket fell out of my pocket walking up to the ground and an Arsenal fan picked it up and ran after me and handed it to me. Fucking fair play.

Hilarious that loosing a league cup final and sitting 6th in the league makes it "hard" to stick by your team. Get to fuck. Come back when you've been properly shit.

They’re mostly pretty decent when you get to meet them face-to-face but like all clubs they have some gobshites online. Spoke to quite a few in the queue for the tube and on it. They all agree that Wenger is past his sell-by date and that their owner is crap. Also that it’s incredible that Wenger’s been there 20 years yet, like Baconface, hasn’t got an obvious successor. So they’re dreading a Moyes-type scenario.

I must say of all the other "top clubs" there is Jack on here who is a good poster. Also speak to 2 others, one of them i can chat in great depth about footy with neither of us wearing or respective clubs specs. I enjoy that honest outside perspective. The Arsenal interactions i have are decent tbh, i can't lie and say they are a sack of twats.
Spurs were out of order when we were coming up with some of their forums probably breaking laws with what was said about any and all aspects of our club. It left me with a dim view of the club as a whole, crouchinho is spot on though. Utd are bad but it tends to be their internet warriors i deal with most often and find it hard to have a mental handshake with them, i suspect many are young or from a totally different culture to any held in western europe towards footy . They often talk mindless bitter rhetoric, very similar to Liverpool. Chelsea are fine, we seem to have an unwritten truce with them.

So yeah, Chelsea and Arsenal are decent, i struggle with the rest in general.

To a man i was very happy for us but did feel a little bit for Arsenal fans as much as i had a giggle. I didn't feel to bad because they are not exactly facing relegation and such.

I fully get some of us dislike them for their behaviour with Ade but he was not exactly innocent was he, in fact i have never seen the fucker run so fast in my life before or since haha. That is part of the emotions of the game we really need to keep, we got to laugh, they got to vent a bit, Ade filled his boots to, everyone is happy... kinda.

I love banter and a bit of schadenfreude but not to the levels of say the Russians :-D

That @Stockport mackem though, he is a right viscious bastard, he needs fucking off with his slurs and rhetoric... he should be supporting Sunderland, not calling them useless ****s xD taxi!

Whilst they have been quite an average team for some time now, I think Neville’s comments yesterday were disgraceful.

Funny that when they’ve got DT saying that City fans didn’t even know who City were 10 years ago

Hahahah anyone seen Wilsheres latest instagram post? What a sad bitter f*ck.

"Hard to put into words my emotions about yesterday. City are a good team and deserved to win yesterday. Alot of people have had thier say on us and we have to accept cristism when we lose. That being said i can't accept some of the decisions that went against us yesterday. What ever you say about the first goal, its a foul. The second goal is offside. There should have been a second yellow in the first half. Yes this happens in football but its still hard to accept. And people will say we are looking for excuses but these are facts. Anyway we need to respond, starting on thursday. Thanks to all the gooners for your support and trust me we feel the same but we need to stick together "

I think it’s interesting how all this seems to have crept up on Arsenal fans. Maybe it’s last years semi final but despite being 27 points behind us in the league many of them thought they were favourites to beat us yesterday. The fact we completely outclassed them seemed to come as a surprise. Until Arsenal grasp some some sense of reality, accept where they are and forget their overbearing sense of reality they will go into steady decline. The rot set in years ago at Arsenal but many of them don’t seem to have spotted it. A few cheap FA cup wins really have papered over the cracks.

Doesn’t comment on his three blatant dives (one where he tried to get Fern wrongly sent off), his attempt to pick a fight with almost anyone in the second half, his sarcastic applauding of the match officials - or of course the fact that he was shite. He’s a **** and a disgrace to his club and the game.

Looks like he's trying to find any excuse to make up for their shite performance yesterday.

Absolutely pathetic.
