Strange game for both teams really, but we didn't do enough to win it despite hard lines with their goal. Lots of change in the squad catching up on us a bit. Kova and the Wolves lad both look neat and tidy but no gundo, Josko needs more time, and obviously missing Rodders (massive worry what a big impact one player has on us) and obvs KDB. Brighton next up in the league is a really big one.

Created very little today against a poor Arsenal team. Hard to believe without Rodri we are ordinary. Very negative today

Seemed like we decided to play narrow given Rodri wasn’t available to protect the middle. But Arsenal pressed our MF really well. Jammy goal and not so much a lethargic performance but a slow and puzzling one. And other than the opening few mins we had no real chances and didn’t put them under pressure. A very strange and disappointing match. I kept waiting for a moment of quickness but it never came.

The players have been far below their standard this season but I think Pep deserves blame as well. His subs have been all over the place thus far. His refusal to ever sub Haaland is bordering on almost comical.

Arsenal looked more up for it I reckon. Also the extent to which our system relies on one player, namely Rodri so much is concerning. I don’t like that. We need to be flexible with our without him. But even then defensively we were decent for most of the game.
