Unfortunately Carragher was right - as soon as the intensity of the game increases we can't handle it.
Arsenal made us look good initially by being timid and sitting back
Disappointed with Ortega for two of their goals.
 
Got nothing to blame but ourselves. Gifted them the first goal. Tried our hardest to give them a second. Got it back to one one and gifted them their second, weak as piss from there on.

Arsenal didn’t even play well and come away with a 5-1 win. Mind boggling how weak we have become. And that includes pep.
 
I just put on utube. Two stories one above the other.
1. City have bid rejected. 50m euro for Nico. I think they want 60. Are we nuts? They’ll ask for 70 after seeing that.

losing most 50/50s, losing race to second balls. they still pressed Kovacic in 89min in our box earning them a corner in the end. who did our attackers press all game?

fitness, hunger, mentality all gone this season. Bernardo, Kovacic, Haaland, Gvardiol all overplayed big time.
 
At least without Klopp and Arsenal's antics, Dippers winning it this season will be more bareable

Well it was massive momentum shift.
We had been the better team for most of the first half and the second half up to then.
We let them take the initiative again and that was it…we folded.
That was probably the worst Foden display in a blue shirt.
 
The current players are no longer capable of playing a possession based game, far too many unenforced passing errors this season and combined with the lack of any mobility or physicality to recover from turnovers it’s a recipe for disaster. But we continue to rinse and repeat

Spineless the lot of them! We need a ferna in the centre of midfield. We haven’t got a right back or left back. Lightweights all over the pitch. Rodri couldn’t cope in there either today.Where are the challenges? teams just steam roller us
 
Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Kovicic helping one of there players off the ground whilst he was out of position & they were counter attacking.
 
Pep to blame for akanji after 1 min, ortega getting full hand on a shot, fodens pass, stones turns his back on a shot, utter fuckin rubbish that professional players play to that standard of errors. That’s a game we should of pissed but instead pissed them chance of self fuck up chance

the way Arsenal didnt shit themselves from the 1-1 but we completely folded from the PArtey goal is the difference in mentality.
the way PSG didnt fold from us being 2-0 up vs them and the way we panicked and folded from their first goal and conceded some more after that.

its a theme, we folded vs Spurs, Sporting, Feyenoord too way too similar way. Pep clearly doesnt know the solution
yet.

Arteta completely owned Pep, its so bad to see this. his student ripped the master him to pieces. 5-1 and add to that the game at Etihad where we couldnt beat them despite their 1st half red card.

The 2 lads who are the most vocal on the pitch and who pick the others up and get them organised, Ruben and Rodri are missing. The others just wilt under pressure
