Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Did anyone really expect anything else. I was surprised it took Arsenal that long to step on the gas and get aggressive. I worry about Phil. he looked lost at times and is easily bullied off the ball. He lost it for a 10 mins or so after he gave away the ball for the 2nd.

I say we need more than 2 more players to come in

I personally thought Foden tried to hard after the mistake and was abit of a headless chicken. He is still young and learning apart from the pass which we could all see wasn't on I thought he was OK

A game to forget or rather learn from for our Phil. Certainly agree he was trying too hard after the mistake but like it or not he's actually one of our more experienced players out there.

Definitely a possible reason he made that pass which Partey intercepted was the referee blocking his sightlines.

However, its a pass he shouldn't attempted regardless. He really should know by now in a high stakes match where we've just equalised & taken the sting out of the game to pass a ball right back into the middle of the park was basically a trap the Gooners have been training days for. Subsequently the Stones deflection was of course a misfortune, but he should have never been put in this position in the first place.

Similar to both Stones & Ortega sending hospital passes to Akanji & Kovacic. Those passes were never on & should only be attempted if you know the receiving player's comfort level.

I said yesterday post match that I wondered if he had lost the 'locker' room.

Surely experienced pro players should be allowed to express themselves on the pitch. Or is that not how it works nowadays?

I know I am fed up of slow, turgid side to side back to side back play without anyone driving through or attempting a shot. If those are the ' tactics' I can completely understand throwing them off! Unfortunately the defence is gash, and unless I was watching a different game yesterday I didn't notice an abandonment of Pep tactics. And we lost.

Arse really are shit houses though, Skelly and Partey both for different reasons should never have been on that pitch. And as for that Gabriel why doesn't Erling risk a ban and just nut him one, or actually tackle and cause a serious injury?? He is a grade A shyster and has it coming to him - just behind the queue of Rudiger and Andy Robinson in my list of most horrendous for whom karma can't come soon enough....
Partey doing Rodri started this bin fire

I think most of us think the same, even those who were in complete denial about our personnel problems. Jan limits us, so the summer will be more of the overhaul I suspect.

So you are saying this is the best the manager can do with this crop of players? I'll be honest though, as I am watching my team get slapped all over the emirates, our recent success counted for very little. Of course it has been a great ride, doesn't make yesterday acceptable. Mental how many fans think it does.
Any other top club in world football and the manager would have had his P45 by now. Seems like when he signed on for two more years half the team downed tools in disgust

Well never I expect us to lose 5-1 that's for one, but maybe I should from now on.

We got pasted off PSG they should have put 6/7 past us and that's where we are. I fully expect Liverpool to fill their boots.

A lot of the players are knackered. Luckily we’ll spend the summer pasting giants of world football like Al Nasr and the Iowa City Hotdogs in the definitely real and highly prestigious World Club Cup. The players are sure to come back refreshed.

Depressingly, it will be a big surprise if they do not. I can't envisage anything other than us getting reamed.

There is no way whatsoever of identifying the time, date, or fanbase from that video.....
It was yesterday as i know one of the lads involved.

All because someone said to another, why are you leaving early, words exchanged, someone was called tinpot and off they go

Not good to see but more passion shown there then some players in the last 15 or so minutes
