All this fuss about the two penalty decisions that went in our favour! Do we ever, ever hear any fuss about any decisions that go in the favour of the rags or dippers?

Those decisions are taken as being part and parcel of the game. A Dipper or Rag enters the oppo area, tumbles to the ground and, hey ho, it's a pen.

Hahaha absolutely loved every bit of the second half. Self capitulation and blaming refs, calling us names and conspiracies about buying the league hahaha got to love a good old fashioned meltdown. All that just for Rodri to celebrate in their face! Hahaha

Fuck what they're saying about deserved or not btw, football has never worked based on who deserves it. You got to play full 90 and get it done. These lot played for 45 minutes and thought it's job done

Will be watching the match this morning on City+1. Sure the highlights on MOTD last night who were spot on.

Citys penalty trip and shirt pull and BT and the press/media are saving Bernie dived.

Arsenal 'penalty' claim eddy gets the ball the gooner stands on eddy ankle and the ball goes the direction to prove eddy got there first. But to me the gooner completely dives both feet together and he takes off. Nothing is being mentioned by BT or the press/media. They is No way you would fall like that, no way.

Their fans really are very frustrated. They truly believe they have been robbed by the referee whereas they actual self-harmed. I do think though that their squad is going to be successful given time. This is a rapidly improving side with growing self-belief. They still have a flaw though to drag defeat from victory through self-inflicted damage. It's almost in their DNA. They must be an infuriating side to support. Give it one more season, and a good transfer window and they could be title-challengers. In Martinelli and Saka they have two jewels. Any title winning side needs exceptional players and perhaps they now have a core which is going to see them succeed in the future?

This was a massive win for City. We didn't play a great game but we hung on in there and pulled the iron out of the fire at the end. Mentality is part of a successful side. And we showed that yesterday in an Epic game on New Years Day when I will be with you again.

I think the game was won on the respective mental strengths of the two teams. We remained solid, whilst The Arse were flakey. I would have thought that the Jimenez sending off would have galvanised all pro-footballers to the idea that kicking the ball away, mining for gold on the penalty spot and assorted technical infringements were to be avoided like Covid19. Roddri take note!

MOTD were fair. Ian Wright and Gary Lineker having an actual adult conversation without having to dumb it down into single syllables just so Shearer can keep up with the grown ups.
