Ake wasn't the problem in the first half martinelli was destroying cancelo ,so it seemed logical to bring walker on and switch cancelo over to left back

Has anybody figured out why Arsenal fans were carrying so much bog roll to launch at Rodri? I know they talk a lot of shit but still seemed an excessive amount.

First ten mins thought here we go nice bit of control from us, KDB had a chance that went over, but fare enough arsenal took the first half after this, was glad to see us go in only one nil down. They where fast at going forward and took advantage of us constantly giving the ball away or offering it to arsenal players on a plate.

there is a second half though, 45mins each way. We came out looking a bit better, arsenal still had speed. But then bang, they gave us a clear penalty and blamed the ref, to top that some cheat scuffs the penalty area and thinks it is ok to bollock the ref. Yellow card all round sir.

Then the idiotic foul on jesus within minutes had to be red, he even has the cheek to sarcastically applaud the 4th official as he goes off. From then on we kept the ball and looked the likely to score and did !

So where was this fantastic arsenal display ? With stats of 2 shots on target and only 29% possession ( same amount of corners / less goal attempts than us ). Cant call one good half a great display.

We where way under par, but came out winners of the game.

I watched the game with volume on zero, you dont get distracted by crowd noise and one sided commentary.

Mahrez tried to check back inside and his legs were gone and he just flopped on his arse. Then Pep went "Get Back!! Get Back!!"

I reckon there were one or two gobshites who caught his eye during the game and he headed straight towards them. Doubt they'll forget that mad eyed stare in a hurry, probably the first image that popped into their tiny minds this morning. Perfect.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but for the goal line clearance I thought Ederson messed up by not making an effort to get back. He ball watched Ake clear it off the line then was way out of position for the follow up from Martinelli.

Great performance by City though and huge shout out to Pep who saw and said the better team didn't get the result.

I thought this when I watched it back. He’ll get a bollocking for that I reckon he totally switched off!
