Arsenal (A) - Post-Match Thread

Arsenal have the ability to play very well, but they are a nasty group of players who don’t like it when things don’t go their way. They lost today simply because they got hot-headed, an idiot tried to scuff the penalty spot and got booked, and two minutes later made an obvious yellow-card foul. It was a clear penalty for City, not so clear with Eddie’s, but there was clearly no obvious error from the ref. I don’t think anyone will ever really know if boot hit ball or foot first. So that is why the ref’s decision wasn’t overturned. I can understand why City’s penalty wasn’t given immediately, but watching it over several times it clearly was. Arsenal can have no complaints, and we managed to grab a win against the odds. Nice start to 2022

I never go on Reddit anymore, but I was told to look at the post match thread for this game on their football forum.

There's a level of bitterness there that could top when CAS overturned the UEFA ban.
