Arsenal (A) | Post Match Thread

It was a very, very odd decision to make, the Arsenal players didn't even appeal for it and they appeal for anything they possibly can as a rule.
It would have been an easier decision to not give it, especially as giving it gives rise to the conversation about whether it should have been a second yellow for Ederson.
Not only did the Arsenal players not appeal for a penalty, but the crowd behind the goal didn’t either…and both their players & fans whine for every decision!

Always reminded of this pic when people talk about fouls of holding on corners and free kicks!

Joke…agenda…shit reffing? Who knows, but my goodness!

Exactly, Leicester won the league by doing just that. They took holding in the box to a new unpunished level.
They won plenty of games with it too, Vardy would run straight at a defender and throw himself over once he got in a good position for a freekick. From the inevitable free kick (no referee wanted the press haranguing them about destroying the Leicester fairytale) one of them would grab hold of the defender and the other would climb on a defender getting their head to the ball. The rules they got to play to that season were a joke.
