I may be remembering this totally wrong but wasn't united's premier league match on TV on the day we played Stoke in the final? Don't think Sky would think twice about sticking prem games on when other channels have FA Cup matches.

ARSENAL'S Emirates Stadium was covered in snow this morning - just a day before their clash against Manchester City.

Britain is being battered at present by the 'Beast from the East' as storms cause chaos on the roads and trains.

City plan to travel down for the crunch Premier League clash tomorrow morning, putting the fixture at risk due to the travel problems.

And Storm Emma left the Emirates frozen over today, adding to fan's fears the match could be postponed.

The UK is set to be gripped by the worst of the weather on Thursday, leading to questions as to why City are leaving it so late to head to London.

It is understood Pep Guardiola's side are not worried about missing the match, which would lead to an automatic Arsenal win.
Premier League rules mean the Gunners would be awarded a 3-0 win if it is the other team's fault they cannot fulfil the fixture.

In the past, City have travelled down to the capital the day before a game, staying at a hotel overnight.

There were even warnings the freezing conditions could get WORSE over the coming days as Storm Emma takes hold.

Typical Sun trying to sensationalise everything . But from our point of view If it is called off tomorrow Pep would not like to miss 2-3 training days if team travel today . If stranded in London the squad might not get back until late Friday /Saturday and thats perhaps why he has delayed travel.

I know there may be issues travelling and around the ground and more snow forecast but that isn't a blanket of snow its a smattering, I can see the pitch through that.

Well this is another scenario Peggy. We certainly don't want to give those in power the excuse to use it. It's up to City to get to the London venue two days before as per normal practice

Total nonsense. If a team is unable to travel from one part of the country to another on the day of the match because of advers weather then that game can not be played. If the PL try to give the match to Arsenal we go straight for an injunction which we would win hands down. Now with respect to European games the rule is different and teams must travel the day before regardless of weather conditions. My own view is that this game will be called off later today or early tomorrow.

Will we be already down there or ready to set off with a hotel booked long ago. I cannot seem to recall the rags getting any shit being late for there west ham game. If it's a couple of feet of snow then that's different but what's on the pitch ATM fowlwer would have done that much in one sitting.

Team travel should be OK ( if they went by plane to London City airport then an hour ish by coach to ground or nearby hotel??) and modern pitch will be heated and playable. It's the travel and safety of supporters which should be the issue.
