Not caught by photographers was David Silva , who missed the Community Shield win. Likewise, Fabian Delph , Brahim Diaz and Oleksandr Zinchenko were also not pictured.

I do think this will be a difficult game. Arsenal with home advantage and the buzz of a new manager, on the back of a decent pre-season, make this far from a formality. Particularly when you add in our wretched record at The Emirates, last season notwithstanding.

That said, I just have an overwhelming belief in this City side under Guardiola. And I’m a pessimist at the best of times. It will almost certainly come across as arrogant, and I’m well aware this doesn’t determine football games, but there literally isn’t an Arsenal player who would get in our strongest starting XI. Seems mad to say it, and 15 years ago you’d have been laughed out of town for suggesting this could ever happen, but it’s true.

On that basis, I’m predicting a 2-1 win for Arsenal. Obviously.

Never in my lifetime have I been so confident about winning away to Arsenal.
My only concern that it’s the first game of the season and them having a new manager and all that.
But after last weeks performance against Chelsea i can’t really see how they can stop us from taking all 3pts.
