For me we need a win today and then go on a run
If we get ahead again this year i think United and Liverpool bottle goes again
The worry is if we let them in they will gain confidence
Also to beat arsenal away in first game ticks off one of hardest away games straight away

Any team that gets results against us will have been at their very best on the day or just lucky. I can’t see us losing today, I think we’re just to good. Like you said, it’s borderline arrogance.

You would hope not, but Bravo has done a full pre-season. I expected Ederson to get some game time last weekend if he was due to start today. Hopefully Bravo’s performance last Sunday will serve as a reminder to Guardiola why Ederson must start.
 
My only concern is that our best centre back pairing has not yet had time to develop a better understanding. Indeed I still don't know who our best centre back pairing is, they are all roughly as good as each other. Any views?

I think vinny will play today with john but any of them can pair up now,there is plenty of time for the first choice in the future, jonn and eric to gel

When they are all at their best there's little to choose between Kompany/Otamendi and Stones/Laporte for me. We are blessed.
 
I'm thinking Stones v. Kompany is really the only unknown in the starting 11. I'm thinking Pep will go with Stones. I'm fairly sure KDB starts because he's pretty much never been dropped in a competitive game regardless of circumstance. I'm thinking Mahrez starts over Sterling because not much seperates them except the former"s longer pre season.

I just got back from my bartending gig and I'm afraid to go to sleep for fear of missing the game. The only one I slept through last year was the 5-0 against liverpool. So maybe I should.

Despite being yet another year older, and despite being certain we have the best players, team and manager and despite knowing "it is only a game", why do I have this sick feeling in my stomach HOURS before kick off.

I try talking myself into calming down and not getting so wound up but I can't.

My brain says we should breeze past them today but...

...there is always the "but".
