Does Kovacic not playing tonight mean he's a lock to start? I think he's been solid thus far but I'm not as confident in him being a starter in these sorts of games for us as others seem to be. No chance Haaland gets dropped, right?

I just hope Akanji isn't playing as a holding midfielder, again!

How about replacing Rodri with Stones instead (if he’s fit)? I’d rather Stones over Kova if I’m honest.

Impossible to predict the side. I expect pep to go completely left field here and play very very differently to normal without rodri. Probably something not entirely dissimilar to how we set up first half at the emirates last season. Maybr we surrender control, and hit them on the counter with foden, doku and alvarez behind haaland and largely bypass the midfield. Whatever he does It's either going to go perfectly and we beat them easily again with a pep masterclass or it goes horribly horribly wrong. No in-between
