Partey out is a big boost for us, but the cynic in me says Jorginho will have a dream performance against the team he almost joined.
 
Whether Partey is out or not shouldn’t matter to us. We need to somehow marry the defensive solidity against Arsenal in the cup with the incisive and press beating passes against Villa.

Whether Partey plays won’t stop Odegaard, Martinelli and Saka being real threats. Besides I’m old enough to remember being excited by an FA Cup 6th round match at home to Spurs because Barmby was out. Nayim played instead and scored a hat trick. If Jorginho plays no doubt he’ll score a penalty, especially after Arteta’s rant at PGMOL yesterday!
 
Up and at them City. Chase every cause. First to every ball. Harass and play like the team you are City. Remember we always look better when we attack and take the game to the opposition. We have been the best team in the last ten years so go out tonight and prove it again in the capital. Attack space when in possession and block every counter attack. Up the blues, keep the faith. Arsenal 1-3 City. Haaland bullet from the edge of the area, Bernardo volley from a corner and a Kdb left footed smash from the left of the D. Go, go, go.
