how do they justify £48? Thought it was only around £35 or so last year. That's a hell of a hike in one season.

How do we justify charging the big clubs the same to come to our place when the cost of living is much cheaper up here?

There's a lot of hullabaloo about the prices we get charged yet we are charging the likes of United, Liverpool and Chelsea £48 too.

Booked the day off work for this match, looking forward to giving these a good revenge stuffing. They know if it wasn't for that sending off we would of leveled them.

We're just as wrong as they are, and it doesn't make their prices right either. Day to day league football is stupidly over priced at these levels, its driving the working class fan away, and sadly its another away game off my list. Pretty soon there won't be any left, fortunately my home season ticket is still competitive, but the day is coming where it won't be, and for many that day has already arrived, and once people start picking and choosing, they largely become armchair supporters.

Rich owners does not equal rich supporters.

Arsenal supporters have the chance to make history in 2011 – and it’s not exactly the type of history that they will welcome. They look like becoming the first fans in Premier League history to fork out more than £100 per game for the privilege of non-hospitality seats.

In January VAT is due to rise from 17.5% to 20% meaning the most expensive non-hospitality individual ticket at Category A fixtures (Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham) will cost as much as £100.60 by the time the ubiquitous booking (£2.30) and postage (£2.20) fees are taken into account.

The club’s website warns: “Please note that, with the VAT increase due in January 2011, our matchday ticket prices will be subject to change.” At present tickets in the most expensive seats – on the halfway line, upper tier – cost £98.50.

Another bit of History for us to share as we will be the opposition when they break the £100 barrier.
