If we are accommodating Toure then we need 2 hard working defensively inclined midfielders.

Something has to give.

Thinking about it for the last few days, we lost 1-0 to Arsenal in 2011/12 and we still won the league, we lost 3-2 to Liverpool in 2013/14 and we still won the league.

If we win on Monday we haven't won the league, similarly if we lose we haven't lost the league.

Like everyone else on here I would be very happy with a win but it doesn't guarantee anything.

The only thing I really want to see from us is get back to our early season work rate and a bit more aggressive defending from the front. It certainly won't magically fix all problems but it would certainly make us more difficult to play against.

Its far too early in the season for this to be considered a must not lose match. The concern would be if we lost because of recurring weaknesses that Arsenal exploited.

For me it is a no brainer......Yaya has to be sacrificed so we are more solid.We don't need to win and the thought of Yaya lumbering around the middle of the park worries me. Delph Fernando and Fernandinho as a 3 and play on the break.

just hope the gooners do not have a look at this thread , we may as well not bother turning up accord to some of our "fans" . But maybe we should consider that whatever team we put out on Monday , they will probably lbe better man for man than Arsenal , and generally our players turn up for the big games against direct rivals , or did i imagine we have won two titles in the last three years ? If Vinny,Zabba and Kun were available , i would be confident ,if they are not it will be a tough game , no doubt. Why should we be running scared of Arsenal , are they the new invicibles ? No they are not , Sheffield Wednesday hammered them not long ago , and Bayern Munich declared at 5-1 , so perhaps they are shitting themselves with the thought of Merlin,Yaya,KDB,Sterling tearing their dodgy defence to pieces , just saying like.
